Looking for a new job…

Just to be on the safe side, not being guilty of lack of initiative, I post this on here as well ;-)

I seek permanent employment in Germany, willing to move almost anywhere (*).

By education I’m a physicist, dealt with fs-lasers [as a tool] & vacuum systems for a while (HV mostly, but I’ve had ‘a short play’ with a UHV system as well). I know what building a lab from scratch & running it is like. Been there, done that.

I have a couple of years experience as a linux system admin (apache, samba as NT4 PDC replacement, backup automation, etc. etc.), personally I’ve been using linux since about 1996 or so. I regularly ‘play’ with VirtualBox, contribute to some opensource projects (mostly bug reports), write some C-code for microcontrollers, design, build & test various electronics devices – as can be seen on this very blog.

I like to play with technology & solder tiny SMD parts by hand – I’m a geek (or nerd?).

Want to employ me? Take a look at my profile on “monster”

(*) fast internet access is a must.

Check out “Kostal” in Hagen, Iserlohn and Dortmund. They are in the car part industry as well as in solar tech. Many of their jobs include embedded electronics.
